About Me

I have worked as an Oncologist for nearly 30 years. My longest place of work has been Kuching, Sarawak. Many may not know where Sarawak is but I have included a map here for easy reference. It’s a rather unique part of Malaysia being situated in the Island of Borneo with multiple races. I am particularly grateful to Ministry of Health, Malaysia for the vast experience I gained by working in Sarawak General Hospital for 25 years.

With this blog I plan to touch on various aspects of cancer and how the diagnosis of cancer impacts not only the patient but the silent caregiver. So I look forward to sharing not only my own experience but also those colleagues who have shared with me.

You can read more about my work at the Sarawak General Hospital here.

You can read more about my inspiration, Zara, here.

Success! Message received.
